WITNESS  (www.witness.org)  uses video and online technologies to open the eyes of the world to human rights violations.  WITNESS empowers people to transform personal stories of abuse into powerful tools for justice, promoting public engagement and policy change.  Since 1992 WITNESS has pioneered the use of video in human rights advocacy, partnering with grassroots organizations worldwide to produce over 65 compelling, issue-driven documentaries about a wide range of human rights subjects.

The WITNESS Media Archive  (www.witnessmediaarchive.org) collects, documents, preserves and provides access to audiovisual human rights media in the support of advocacy, prosecution of justice, truth-telling, and the historical record.

The Archive is the repository for over 3000 hours of video comprised of original raw footage and documentary productions from human rights defenders around the world. The subject matter covers a broad range of human rights issues, including indigenous rights, war crimes and genocide, refugees and displacement, globalization, child soldiers, human trafficking, and more.    We invite inquiries from filmmakers and others interested in licensing footage; search the archive online or email us at mediaarchive@witness.org.

The Hub (hub.witness.org) is a new global channel for human rights: watch, join, upload video, comment, share, and connect with others using media to promote human rights and create change.
