Curated lists, a prominent feature of the site, are normally a list of films that make sense together. For example, Reframe contributors have compiled lists on such topics as Coming of Age, Artists' Unique Visions, Gender and Film, Science and Social Justice Films, and Pop Music and the Movies. If you would like to curate a list, you can start one right now.
Look for the Sign Up on the top of the page, click it and fill in the required information. Now that you're a member, you can begin to curate lists of your favorite films. Soon, new features will be added to the site such as reviews, and you'll be able to participate as a member. Next, spend some time browsing the site. We now have over 1200 films in a variety of categories and genres.
Once you're signed in, click on a an individual film to see the information on that title. Under the title name, you'll see the date of the film. Just to the right, you'll see an icon that reads "+ add to list." Click "+ add to list" and you'll be taken to a form that allows you to to create a new list. Write your list title. Give it a name that would best identify the films on your list, and then fill out the space describing the list. What are these films about? What do they have in common? Once you've started the list, then you can start adding films. You may find films that make sense to group together, or you can compile your own list of personal favorites. It's easy to add films at a later date. Create several lists for the benefit of the Reframe community.
Curating your own lists can be a great and fun way to get to know a subject, including a new way to understand your own taste in films.
